This 6 week course references the book “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” by Betty Edwards. (a copy of the book is included in the cost of this class) This class is for beginners or if you want to sharpen your skills. We will focus on developing your observational skills, using positive and negative space and rendering techniques. You will learn to transfer what you see onto paper using fundamental skills of line, shape, form, value, texture, and perspective.

You will need to bring a variety of pencils including 2B+, HB, H, etc. Also bring 1 or 2 stumps for smudging/shading, a good eraser, pencil sharpener, and a Strathmore 400 series 11x14 drawing pad.
